sketchbook week 8
Threw my character in another predicament. Also looked at the Final Fantasy 7 poster I have in my room. Sucks that the sun faded the color on it.

Walk cycle
This is pretty tedious to do. Never thought a thing we take for granted can be so tough to animate. がんばらない!

Sketchbook week 6
I really like it when you really get into the drawing. It is a lot of work now and then but when you have that "fun" moment, it is all worth while.

Cat tail animation take 2
It's always good to practice, just like in drawing, it's the same in animation. You can only get better.
Sketchbook week 5
It's really something else when you really get into your drawings. Played around with my designed character, wanted to play around with some expressions.

Sketchbook week 4
Played around on Page 2 character design for the next animation. Decided that I would stick with the model, even giving her a name that could help me understand her personality.

Cat Animation
Tried posting my video on my Uh website to get it as quicktime but kept getting errors. I liked how my animation turned out.

Cat design on animation paper
My cat design on animation paper, thought it would be interesting to make the tail swell up at the end instead of being the same size.
Sketch Book 3
Was working on what cat design would be the most appealing. Tried out different shapes and decided round would do.

Bouncing Ball
Not sure why the end of it halts a bit. Scanning took a bit longer then I though, not to mention getting it together in Aftereffects @_@

Quote from Sketchbook reading
"He (the artist) moves through life as he finds it, not passing negligently the things he loves, but stopping to know them and to note them down in the shorthand of his sketch book...He is looking for what he loves, he tries to capture it. It's found anywhere, everywhere. Those who are not hunters do not see these things. The hunter is learning to see and to understand --to enjoy."
--Robert Henri
This quote is quite inspiring and very true to it's point. I always carry my sketch book around with me where ever I go. I also keep it with me when I have an idea come to me as well, to capture it at that moment before something else tries to takes it's place. I liked the part in the reading where it says no one would have drawn it quite like you. When I look at all the art around, there are so many different drawings of the same things, animals, landscapes, people. But what makes each one unique is their own perspective of it.
